Prasetiya Mulya Business School (PMBS) – BSD Campus is located in Edutown, Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) City, a fledging metropolis and progressing city in the southwest of Jakarta.
Getting there
BSD City is strategically located in the south-west of Jakarta connecting to southern part and western part of Jakarta urban area with easy access to commercial areas, affluent neighborhoods and businesses. BSD City can be reached in 40 minutes from the center of Jakarta, while Soekarno-Hatta International airport is only 30 minutes away. The city can be easily accessed through Jakarta Outer Ring Road, Jakarta-Merak Toll Road, and Jalan Raya Serpong. It is also connected to Jabodetabek’s rail network and the BSD feeder-bus lines link into the busway-lines that cross the region. Choices of transportation for commuters are various. There is BSD feeder bus which has several routes: BSD City-Pondok Indah Mal-Ratu Plaza, BSD City-Kota-Mangga Dua, and BSD City-Harmoni-Pasar baru
Regular buses which stop at BSD are Mayasari Bakti AC 74, Mayasari Bakti AC 117 and Agramas. Mayasari Bakti AC 74 travel from Kampung Rambutan to Poris, back and forth. Mayasari Bakti AC 117 travel back and forth from Kampung Rambutan-JORR toll-Veteran-BSD. While Agramas bus travel back and forth from Cikokol-Jln. Raya Serpong-BSD-Veteran-JORR toll-Kampung Rambutan. In addition, several choices of angkot are: Angkot Hijau Strip Merah which goes from Cikokol to BSD, Angkot Hijau Strip Putih which goes from Kalideres to Muncul, Angkot Putih Strip Hijau which goes from Cikokol to Pasar Serpong.
For one who prefers train, there is Serpong–Jakarta Express Train which arrive in less than one hour interval. The train stops at strategic points, such as Sudirman, Pondok Ranji, Kebayoran,Palmerah, Manggarai, Kota, and Tanah Abang.
From BSD central bus station to campus there’s shuttle bus to Edutown every 20 minutes in rush hour and every 30 minutes in regular outside that. The earliest bus from terminal is at 6:20 am and the latest shuttle bus leaves from Prasetiya Mulya campus is at 8:00 pm.
The Campus
Edutown is a unique education district that covers an area of 50 hectares in size. Edutown brings together a wide range of education as well as learning providers in one dedicated area. The PMBS - BSD campus in Edutown is reachable within thirty minutes drive from PMBS Cilandak Campus. Edutown’s programs incorporate a variety of higher learning opportunities delivered through the provision of leading edge learning providers. Located at the heart of BSD City, Edutown is pampered with access to a wide range of extensive lifestyle amenities: shopping, dining, cinemas and numerous shopping centers, it is close to commercial ribbon, toll access and health facilities. In the very near future, Edutown will have complete educational, social, cultural, health, recreational and sport facilities to support all the activities and events of a student’s life in BSD City and will be the pride and major education district in Indonesia.
Since the growth of S1 students is increasing every year, PMBS decided to scale up its presence by opening new campus for Undergraduate Students. The newly built campus designed to create conducive learning atmosphere. It brings out openness concept with lots of space for students to study. Prasetiya Mulya BSD Campus in Edutown occupies 5 hectares land. The campus will be built in three project phases.In the first phase of the project, the construction work focuses on various facilities that provide comforts for students to study, comprising a five floors oval building for modern business library, office, multi-purpose hall, café and a four-floor twin buildings for amphitheatre classes, computer laboratory, entrepreneurship development center, business center, students’ activity room. Other facilities are multisport court, convenient store, worship house, parking lot, dining hall and food court hall. The campus will provide 24-h internet wi fi connection and the campus facilities will be earmarked for all students taking undergraduate study program starting 2010.
From the entrance, students will be greeted by the sound of flowing water. The campus is surrounded with water channel to create cooling effect. On the left side is the class room building, furthermore library and lecturer building on the right side. Entering this campus, one can see the student activities in study hall where students produce creative and innovative ideas. Lay the view a little farther; one can see the sports courts.
Accomodation
No need to worry about residence, because there are numbers of choices places to stay, from house, apartment, to boarding house. The nearest accommodation is the new developed cluster Foresta and sub cluster Studento which meant for students and can be reached within 10 minutes walk from the campus. Another choice of boarding house also provided a bit farther from campus such as cluster Anggrek Loka, Giri Loka, Griya Loka, Puspita Loka, Nusa Loka etc which can be reached within 10-15 minutes by car and offering less expensive rate. Overall, boarding houses in BSD City cost around Rp 500.000 to Rp 1.800.000 per month depends on the location distance from Edutown area and facilities provided. There is a new accommodation, dorm house project in Edutown area closer to PMBS that is named Einstein Park. It is a premium dormitory lot for students adjacent from Prasetiya Mulya BSD campus to be students living quarters.

Supporting FacilitiesStudents who need a break can opt for numerous choices of entertainment. Teraskota mall only takes five minutes of driving. The mall that was open by the end of 2009 offers fitness center, cinema, as well as wide range of restaurants and cafés, which fulfill local and international taste. It provides parking area especially for bicycle. Other options of malls are BSD Junction and Plaza BSD, which can be reached within 15 minutes of driving.
For groceries shopping, there are some options such as Giant, Carrefour, and also traditional market. Uniquely, the traditional market in BSD is not so traditional. In 2008, BSD initiates first traditional market with modern management. It has a lot of appraisal from the media because of its cleanliness and convenience. BSD Modern market starts at 3 am in the morning until midday.
For outdoor activities there’s Ocean Park Water Adventure, which located just behind Teraskota. This 8.5 acre thematic swimming pool is one of the family destinations on weekend. It can accommodate up to 12,000 visitors. Another swimming pool offered is the one in Griya Loka Ria in sector I.3. It has four swimming pool, two tennis courts, two badminton courts, open theater, stage and Taman Jajan, where food and beverages vendors are gathered in one place.
In addition, there’s Taman Kota BSD which set as urban forest. It has jogging track, fitness ground, cycling, and acupuncture walk. Taman Kota is about 5 km away from PMBS campus. Meanwhile, golfers can play at Damai Indah Golf & Country Club.
Another thing to be the concerned about is health facility. Around BSD, there are hospitals, smaller private clinics, specialists’ practices, and pharmacies. Big hospitals like Eka Hospital and BSD Medika are easily accessed from campus. Types of clinics are miscellaneous, from health clinics, dental clinics, orthopedic, acupuncture, until skin and cosmetics. These clinics are widespread in every sector.
Beside those facilities, there are not less than 35 state, private, and foreign banks are in service in BSD City to facilitate banking transaction. Pos dan Giro service is available in Nusa Loka to facilitate mailing service.
As a place for residents with many backgrounds, BSD provide worship house, such as mosques (15 units) and churches (3 units) which spread all around BSD.
The campus location in a hustle-free area promotes good learning atmosphere.
