CONSTRUCTION OF BSD CITY CAMPUS

In 2002, the Prasetiya Mulya Business School began conducting a survey in search of a location for a new campus to support the teaching process for its undergraduate program. With an increasing number of students since the establishment of the undergraduate program in 2005, the physical facilities of the Cilandak Campus could no longer meet the strict requirements to provide a favorable learning environment.

In 2008, a 5-hectare land parcel in the BSD Edutown, located in BSD City Sector 2, was purchased for the development of the undergraduate programs at Prasetiya Mulya’s second campus. The construction of the BSD City Campus will be carried out in several stages.

In the first stage, two lecture buildings (each four floors high and consisting of several classrooms, a computer laboratory and office rooms), an Oval Building to house the library, offices, a 500-seat multifunction hall and 400-seat cafeteria (food court) will be built on a 9,000-square-meter area. Construction will commence soon and should be completed by September 2010. The construction of sports facilities consisting of two outdoor multi-sports fields is expected to be completed earlier, by December 2009, so they can be used immediately by Prasetiya Mulya undergraduate and postgraduate students, Faculty Members, Supporting Members and alumni. Other facilities to be built include a parking lot to accommodate up to 400 cars and 200 motorcycles, a convenience store, a Musholla (Muslim prayer hall) and a Student Board room.

Prasetiya Mulya undergraduate students from the 2005 up to the 2009 batch will continue to use the Cilandak Campus for their main learning activities. Prasetiya Mulya undergraduate students from the 2010 batch (effective in September 2010) and onwards will use the BSD City Campus for their main learning activities.

With the new BSD City Campus, the undergraduate program will develop even better so that the leading role of Prasetiya Mulya in fostering the Indonesian people, especially in developing the business community, will be bigger and more important.

We seek the support of all Faculty Members and employees so that the development of Prasetiya Mulya’s programs and its physical facilities, the BSD City Campus in particular, runs well and smoothly.
